Return Policy - Talarix Moto

1. Overview

At Talarix Moto, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, we're here to help. This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returning products purchased from Talarix Moto.

✅ 30-Day Returns: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return eligible items for a refund or exchange.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • Unused Condition: Item must be unused, uninstalled, and in the same condition that you received it
  • Original Packaging: Item must be in its original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and tags
  • Proof of Purchase: Order number or receipt must be provided
  • Return Authorization: You must obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number before sending the item back

3. Return Timeframe

You have 30 calendar days from the date you receive your item to request a return. After 30 days, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.

  • Returns requested within 7 days: Full refund available
  • Returns requested within 8-30 days: Refund minus 10% restocking fee
  • Returns requested after 30 days: Not accepted

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Electrical Components: Controllers, batteries, motors (unless defective)
  • Opened Electronics: Any electronic item with broken seals or opened packaging
  • Custom Orders: Items ordered specifically for you or customized parts
  • Sale Items: Clearance or final sale items (marked as "Final Sale")
  • Installation Tools: Used tools or opened consumables
  • Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable
  • Software: Downloaded software or firmware

⚠️ Important: Due to safety concerns, electrical components that have been installed or connected to power cannot be returned unless defective.

5. Return Process

Follow these steps to return an item:

Get RA Number: We will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within 1-2 business days

Pack the Item: Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all accessories

Write RA Number: Clearly write the RA number on the outside of the package

Ship the Item: Send the package to our Sydney warehouse address (provided with RA number)

Tracking: Use a trackable shipping method (we are not responsible for lost returns)

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

  • Full Refund: For items returned within 7 days in original condition
  • Partial Refund: For items with missing parts or damaged packaging (up to 50% deduction)
  • Restocking Fee: 10% restocking fee for returns between 8-30 days
  • Original Shipping: Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Please note: It may take an additional 3-5 business days for your bank or credit card company to process the refund to your account.

7. Exchanges

If you need to exchange an item for a different size, color, or model:

  • Follow the same return process as above
  • Specify the item you want to exchange for
  • We will process the exchange once the original item is received
  • If the exchange item costs more, you will be charged the difference
  • If the exchange item costs less, you will be refunded the difference

For faster service, we recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new order for the desired item.

8. Shipping Costs

  • Customer Responsibility: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Original Shipping: Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • Free Returns: Only available for defective or damaged items (must be approved first)
  • Exchange Shipping: Customer pays return shipping; we pay for shipping the exchange item
  • Recommended Carrier: Use Australia Post with tracking and insurance for items over $200

9. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately:

  • Within 48 hours: Report any visible damage or defects
  • Required Information: Order number, photos of damage, and description of the issue
  • Resolution: We will provide a prepaid return label and send a replacement or issue a full refund
  • No Restocking Fee: Defective items are not subject to restocking fees

10. Warranty Information

Many of our products come with manufacturer warranties:

  • EBMX Controllers: 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects
  • Cycles Electron Batteries: 12-month warranty
  • Other Batteries: 6-12 months depending on brand
  • Wheels & Tires: 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects
  • Displays & Accessories: 6-month warranty

Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

For warranty claims, contact our support team with your order number and proof of the defect (photos/videos).
